Assigning a reviewer

Reviewer role

Any user who has the ability to Approve medicals can be assigned to a medical as the reviewer.

Depending on the healthcare setting, medicals may be approved by a variety of healthcare professionals.

When the reviewer role is assigned to a doctor user, the reviewer name on the report will be automatically updated if a medical is approved by another doctor user. The assigned reviewer  will not update from a doctor to any other user type. This is to prevent inappropriate assignment to another user e.g. when a medical approved by a doctor is reverted by an admin user to add additional information.

How to assign a reviewer

A default doctor can be assigned as reviewer when setting up a programme group.

If the reviewer role needs to be assigned to another healthcare professional e.g. a nurse, the reviewer will need to be manually assigned.

A reviewer can be assigned to a medical in the following ways:

1. When a medical has a status of Processing, open the client medical > click the pencil icon to              Edit.

In the reviewer field, select the appropriate healthcare professional from the drop-down

    menu > click Submit.

OR

2. In the Report Approval window > on the reviewer field, select the appropriate healthcare

professional from the drop-down menu > click Submit approval.

If a medical has been approved by a user who is NOT a doctor and the medical is reverted, the reviewer field will automatically update to the name of the user who reapproves the medical.

NOTE: In the Report approval window, confirm the reviewer is correct before clicking Submit approval.
