Transition from haemochromatosis to iron studies

Our Haemochromatosis module was replace by a new Iron Studies module in November 2023.

Considerations for clients who have existing products and medicals that include haemochromatosis

• Haemochromatosis will remain active on all existing medicals, regardless of their status and whether they are reverted and reapproved in the future.
• If a medical is edited and Haemochromatosis is removed, it CANNOT be re-added.
• Do not remove Haemochromatosis from existing Products, this needs to remain selected for the management of historical medicals.
• Iron Studies has been automatically added to any existing product that has Haemochromatosis selected. Any new medicals created with exiting products will automatically have Iron Studies applied. 
• When you create a new product only Iron Studies will be available.
• Iron Studies will present one additional question in the client questionnaire regarding a history of anaemia.
• If specifically required, an existing medical can be edited to remove Haemochromatosis and add Iron Studies, in which the additional question on anaemia will be added and will need to be completed with the client.
