The QRISK®3 algorithm uses a combination of medical history data, measurements and blood results to estimate the likelihood of having a diagnosis of heart disease or a stroke in the next 10 years. The score is calculated using estimated data if non-mandatory information is left blank.
Questionnaire
The QRISK®3 questionnaire includes data on smoking, diabetes, family history of heart attack, kidney disease, atrial fibrillation, hypertension, migraines, rheumatoid arthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus, severe mental illness, antipsychotic medication, steroids and erectile dysfunction.
Clients with a diagnosis of angina, heart attack, stroke, TIA, or those on statin therapy will not be presented with further questions.

Interpretations
Flag assignment and report content are generated to reflect the relevant combinations of data inputs from questionnaire responses, physical measurements and laboratory results.🟢 Green flag: Indicates a low (<10%) 10-year risk of heart attack or stroke
🟡 Amber flag: Indicates a moderate (10-20%) 10-year risk of heart attack or stroke
🔴 Red flag: Indicates a high (>20%) 10-year risk of heart attack or stroke
🔵 Blue flag: Indicates the client met exclusion criteria and a QRISK®3 score could not be calculated.
