Lipoprotein-associated phospholipase 2 (Lp-PLA2)

Lipoprotein-associated phospholipase 2 (Lp-PLA2) is a vascular-specific marker of inflammation. Elevated levels of Lp-PLA2 have been independently associated with an increased risk of atherosclerotic cardiovascular events, including myocardial infarction and ischemic stroke.
