Our latest production release includes enhanced 2FA capabilities for improved security, electronic lab ordering, as well as revised and newly added health categories developed through our continuous medical review process.
Two-factor authentication (2FA)
Protecting patient data sits at the heart of everything we do. With this update, providers have full control over their 2FA configuration, with the ability to enable two-factor authentication for both users and consumers directly from account settings.
Lipoprotein(a) health category
A new lipoprotein(a) health category is now available to all providers. The enhanced cardiac risk health category remains an option for providers testing for both lipoprotein(a) and Hs-CRP.
International Prostate Symptom Score (IPSS)
A second new health category, IPSS, is now available. This questionnaire-based assessment can also incorporate prostate blood test and prostate examination findings when these are included in the same product, providing a more comprehensive view of prostate health.
Migration to DASS-21
During the Christmas break, we will be deprecating the mental health and stress categories and replacing them with the new Depression Anxiety and Stress Scales (DASS-21) health category. This clinically validated self-reporting measure is designed to assess the severity of general psychological distress and symptoms related to depression, anxiety, and stress in adults. Thus providing a wider scope than the outgoing modules.
Physical activity questionnaire
The International Physical Activity Questionnaire (IPAQ) is designed and validated specifically for individuals aged 15 to 69.
While the IPAQ will not be administered to clients outside this age bracket, guidance based on WHO-recommended minimum activity levels will be provided in their reports to support their ongoing health and wellbeing.
Lp-PLA2
The Lp-PLA health category will be deprecated at the end of 2025 in preference for Lipoprotein(a), which is more widely used.
Electronic lab ordering
Electronic lab ordering is now live on the platform for Randox Laboratories, enabling a fully digital workflow from test order to result.
