Exercise Electrocardiogram (ECG)

An exercise ECG is a continuous recording of the heart’s electrical activity performed while a person is physically active, typically walking on a treadmill. It is used to assess how the heart responds to physical exertion. Exercise increases the heart’s demand for oxygen, and the test can reveal issues that may not be apparent at rest.
