Blood pressure (BP) monitoring and appropriate intervention, when indicated, are well-recognised strategies for reducing the risk of hypertension-related health problems.
Interpretations are based on the ESC-ESH Guidelines for the management of arterial hypertension.
Questionnaire
This health category includes questionnaire data on personal and family history of high blood pressure, angina/heart attack, TIA/stroke, diabetes, and stress frequency.
Measurements
Mandatory: Systolic and diastolic BP
Non-mandatory: It is optional to record which arm the reading was taken on.
Laboratory
Mandatory: N/A
Non-mandatory: N/A
Interpretations
Flag assignment and report content are generated to reflect the relevant combinations of data inputs from questionnaire responses and physical measurements.🟢 Green flag: Indicates systolic and diastolic BP are within the normal range.
🟡 Amber flag: Indicates systolic BP high side of normal (130-139), slightly high (140-159), high ( 160-179), or lower than normal (99-105), and/or diastolic slightly high (90-99), high (100-150), or lower than normal (≤53).
🔴 Red flag: Indicates systolic high ( 160-179), very high (≥ 180), or very low (<98) and/or diastolic high (100-150).
